المساthis study aimed to identify the basic concepts of strategic planning and its role in crisis management. With reference to a case study in the Algerian pipe company (ALFA PIPE) at the headquarters of the wilaya of Ghardaia, The descriptive analytical approach was used for being the most appropriate to identify and analyze concepts based on the questionnaire as a method of data collection, as it was distributed to the study population and the sample consisted of 50 individuals, where the results of the study purified that there is a firm belief that planning plays a pivotal role in solving crises and reducing risks, especially with the consensus of most employees on the importance of setting goals accurately and continuous evaluation, This study also found that strategic planning is an urgent necessity that must be relied upon in crisis management, as well as the need to adopt effective communication methods within the institution so that there is a good exchange of information, the need to provide advanced training courses focusing on crisis management and advance planning
