This studyaims to analyze the associations' strategy in preserving the
traditionalindustry and handicrafts, as a model for this, we chose the agro-textile
craft as one of the popular and famouscrafts in the state of Ghardaia, which has a
long history and carries withit the stories and cultures of peoples,
reflectingtheirway of life, as itwas a study of a group of local associations active
in thisfield.
First of all, we have addressed the theoreticaldefinition of the features of the
emergence and emergence of civil society, itsmembers and components,
itscharacteristics, which have itsadvantage and contributed to the industry of its
institutions, foremostamongwhich are associations. The latter has definedits area
of work in certain fields and carries out variousactivities to achieveits objectives
through the formation of a working group to conduct and manage itsaffairs.
The field of traditionalindustry and handicraftsis one of the mostprominent areas
of concern to the associations, wherethey have adoptedspecificstrategies and
programs of action for their conservation and protection from extinction.
Therefore, in order to develop a clear-cut vision of the reality of the strategies of
associations active in thisfield and highlight theirendeavor to preserve the
traditionalindustry, we have asked the main question:
_ Are the goals and strategies of the associations in their endeavor to preserve
the traditional fabric of the carpet in light of the modern industries sweeping it?
Two sub-questions emerged from it to clarify this more, as follows:
What are the strategies that govern the work programs of these associations
active in the field of traditional industry?
What are the objectives that the traditional industry associations seek to
achieve?
As a preliminary answer to the main question, we assumed that:
The association's work program in preserving the traditional industry is to
resist the extension of modern industry into its field.
We divided it into two hypotheses, which are as follows:
* The strategies that govern the work programs of associations active in the field
of traditional industry are based on simple spontaneous planning.
* The goals that traditional industry associations seek to achieve are more
economic than cultural.
As for the part of this field study, we depended on the descriptive,
analytical and appropriate method for such research. randomsample of ten (10)
units or associations, and in order to investigate the truthfrom the field of
studywehad to rely on the interview as a main tool to collect the
scientificmaterialfrom the field of study, throughwhichwe can draw a number of
conclusions, summarizedbelow:
- Local associations interested in the handicraft and craftssector are
planning to do so by laying down work programs and working hard to
implementthemdespite the factthatthese plans are spontaneous and simple.
- The cultural impulses to preserve the traditionalindustry and crafts are
preserved and stillexist in greatquantity, but theyneed to bepromoted and
publicizedso as not to remainhostage to homes.
- The economic motive has become the highest goal that the associations
want to achieve. This maybe due to the attempt of these associations to face the
competition of modern industry, whichattributed all points of sale, including the
markets of the traditionalindustry. |
