Hamdan Khodja was famous for traveling since childhood,

considered an eyewitness to the fall of the city of Algiers, the Battle of
Stawali and the signing of the Dey Hussein of the surrender treaty. His
ideas to fight him politically, and the same ideas brought him together
with Ahmed Bey and Ibn al-Annabi, and he had a friendly relationship
with them before and after colonialism, but he was against Bouardba’s
ideas.
After the French occupation of Algeria, Hamdan bin Othman
Khodja considered himself a mediator to represent the Algerians and
defend their rights. He played a major role in raising the Algerian case
and forming the African Committee to look into the conditions of the
Algerians and the oppression imposed on them by the occupation
authority. Othman Khodja also worked to reform the situation at that
time.
