the era of Saleh Bey1771-AD , under the problem of the study : how were the
conditions of the Eastern Beylik of Algeria during the period of Salih Bey's
rule? And how did his personality contribute to improving the conditions of the

Salh Bey, one of the Beylik of the East, was born in Izmir in the year 1725 AD,
appointed by the Pasha of Algeria, Bey on the Beylik of the East (1771-1792
AD), his rule lasted for about 20 years, full of many achievements. He described
his reign as an era of prosperity, as the eastern region knew economic, cultural
and social prosperity and an urban renaissance Which increased the loyalty of
the people to him and instilled confidence in him, his greatness and his wide
fame and good reputation, they immortalized his memory in a poem they chant,
“They said the Arabs said they said.” Many opponents and opponents appeared
against him, so that the Pasha of Algeria began planning to isolate and kill him,
and what he sought happened. His reign was a turning point in the history of
Constantine, he worked to spread security and stability. The Beylik witnessed a
prosperous period in all political, economic, cultural and urban fields.
