Item EFL Student’s Attitudes towards the Literature Module: The caseof Third-Year Licence Students at the University of Ghardaia(جامعة غرداية, 2026) KhadidjaRiham BOUCHENGAThis study investigates EFL students’ attitudes toward the literature module at university level. It aims to explore the main factors that influence students’ perceptions of literature and examine the role of teaching methods, motivation, and classroom interaction in shaping these attitudes. The study adopts a quantitative research design and uses a questionnaire as the main data collection tool. The sample consists of 42 EFL students from the Department of English at Ghardaia University.The study concludes that students’ attitudes toward literature are influenced by several interconnected factors, including language proficiency, teaching methodology, classroom interaction, and motivation. Therefore, adopting learner-centered and technology-based teaching strategies may improve students’ engagement and learning experience in literature classes.Item Investigating EFL Learners' Attitudes Towards using Cooperative Learning to Enhance Their Speaking Skills A case study of English Students at the University of Ghardaia(جامعة غرداية, 2026) Fatma AKLOUCHE Yazid MOSBAHIn many traditional EFL classrooms that are notorious for the dominance of the teacher which have significantly hindered the development of learners' oral proficiency. Students often remain passive recipients of knowledge in these settings. And despite cooperative Learning's effectiveness in addressing this issue by promoting interaction, limited research has specifically examined learners attitudes toward using it to improve their oral proficiency. Consequently, this research attempts to investigate English as foreign language ( EFL) Learners’ attitudes towards using cooperative learning (CL) to enhance their speaking skills. Speaking is a challenging skill that requires interaction, confidence, and fluency. CL provides learners with opportunities to actively engage in authentic communication.the study adopted a descriptive research design to explore this phenomenon. The study was conducted at the University of Ghardaia with EFL students across all levels in the Department of English, employing a mixed-methods research approach. A questionnaire was administered to students, and interviews were conducted with teachers. The findings revealed that most students held positive attitudes toward cooperative learning as a tool for improving their speaking skills, the study also highlighted the need to integrate CL into classroom practices to allow learners to speak freely, overcome shyness and move beyond a tendency to simply listen. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to embrace cooperative learning strategies to create a more interactive learning environment.Item Investigating Student’s Attitudes Towards the Use of Social Media for Learning Purposes: A Case Study of EFL Students at the University of Ghardaia(جامعة غرداية, 2022) Saadeddine KHELALFAAlthough the power of social media to impact learning is recognized, little is known regarding students’ attitudes towards its use in the field of education, especially in the Algerian context. Therefore, the current study aims to investigate Algerian students’ attitudes towards the use of social media for learning purposes. The participants of the study were 110 EFL students at the University of Ghardaia who volunteered for an online survey questionnaire during the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022. The researcher adopted a quantitative research approach using descriptive and inferential statistical methods to analyze the collected data. The main findings of the study revealed that students showed positive attitudes regarding the use of social media, and suggested more use of these platforms to support their learning. Findings also showed that Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube were the most popular networks amongstudents. Nevertheless, the findings also showed that there was no significant difference in students’ attitudes based on gender, age, or level of study. The reported findings could assist educators and scholars in the field of education to develop more effective instructional strategies that integrate the use of social media platforms into physical and virtual classrooms.
