Abstract
Technical Proficiency in Geospatial Software: To equip students with the requisite
operational skills for installing and utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
software (e.g., QGIS), engaging professionally with its interfaces, employing its
analytical tools, and managing spatial databases effectively.
Mastery of Digital Data Processing: To enable students to acquire and process satellite
imagery, extract spectral environmental indicators (such as vegetation indices), and implement digital classification protocols for the interpretation and extraction of
terrestrial features.
Spatial Modeling and Cartographic Production: To develop researchers' competence in
analyzing field-based environmental problems (e.g., ecological degradation, land cover
changes) and translating these complex spatial analyses into precise thematic maps and
unambiguous visual outputs.
Project Management and Scientific Reporting: To qualify students in the design and
execution of miniature environmental projects, alongside the ability to compose
synthetic final reports following academic methodologies for result interpretation and
the derivation of practical environmental recommendations that support decision-
making.
